I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up!
If anyone still comes around here, you must be shocked that there is a new post.
I thought I would finally resurface long enough to tell people where the heck I am and what I'm doing these days.
The simple explanation is that I just got out of the habit of blogging. I find that once I stop doing something, it is hard to get started again. I only wish breaking bad habits was as easy.
The longer explanation is that once I was fully engulfed in putting on Oklahoma!, I slowed down dramatically. I had for a few months posted at least once a day. When the streak was broken, I felt the freedom to let go a little bit.
I love blogging and reading blogs, but it was consuming too much time. It wasn't really school starting up because I was blogging regularly when I was teaching AND taking classes of my own.
I just stopped and couldn't get going again.
One of the barriers to restarting is that I am currently assistant director for our next show here at Riverbank Community Theater. We are doing A Christmas Story and I am not only doing all the publicity stuff I did for past shows, but I am going to be at practice four nights a week.
You can see why I didn't jump right back into blogging!
Finally, I am sorry that I left all of you hanging for so long. Not only have I not been on my own blog, but I haven't been on any of yours much either. For some reason, Blogger doesn't give me email notifications when you comment me either. I can't find anyone who knows what happened with this and it is very frustrating.
I am thankful for my blogging friends who came looking for me; sorry that I didn't even know that you called until now. Maybe one day I will get that fire going again, but until then, Global Warming is a scam. (Oh, God Bless and happy blogging!)

Thanks for the heads up on your new post! It's so funny, I was going to email you today and make sure you were all OK -- you've been missed!!!
Best wishes,
Laura
I can relate to what you are going through. I think the longest time I was away was almost three months. I hope to see you again, buddy!
Gasp! You're right I was shocked :o
But that's OK. I just updated my blog today and my last one was in April. Trouble is, very few knew I had even stopped :)
A Christmas Story - is that the one with Ralphie and "you'll shoot your eye out"? If so, I never knew that had been written in the form of a play. Or are we talking Charles Dickens Christmas Carol here. I know about practices as I am involved in a big production at my church called Christmas Joy.
Welcome back to blogging (we hope).
anyway... now you know you have friends that care about you beyond your blog, and they want to know you're ok and well. Sometimes you reach out and touch people across the blog. I don't know if I should be relieved or cranky. :P Kinda like a parent whose child has stayed out all night and now they've just returned home. I'm relieved you weren't in a cast or worse, and bent that I didn't hear from you. LOL
Oh well. no harm no foul. Glad you're well and thriving! When you have something to share, come back and blog!
Was wondering what happened... break-a-leg on your new show.. am off to do another one.. 1 week rehearsal,, Yikes!
go to settings, comments and then go to the bottom and enable comment notification by adding your email address... voila.
Wow, it is so nice to feel so loved! Because of all of you, I am really torn that I have to set this thing aside for a bit. Kinda makes me want to start a new streak, but it is not the time.
Irene, yes, it is that show. It has been a play for a couple of years. It should be really great. I hear that people who are big fans of the movie are very pleased with the stage version.
Incognito: suddenly it works, but I was always signed up to receive email notifications--I never changed a setting.
Wow, been awhile since you last posted....
That's what happens when you actually realize there is an entertaining world out there compared to blogging.
I know your new show is going to be wonderful, just make sure you get whatever needs to be bolted, bolted right, k?
Come back, UNG, come back!!
I don't know how this blogging thing works, but I read your comment on the "Does rap make you stupid thing" (I think stupid people listen to rap)Anyway, you said which came first, the chicken or the egg? I just wanted to say that if there was only an egg, who would warm it?
Hey -- thanks for commenting on my site. I AM interested in the site you mentioned for x-bloggers.
